a new front wheel hub assembly

I bought a new wheel hub assembly, removed the three triangle shaped pattern in back of hub. problem is there is no hub lock nut cover to pop. does it just need to be beat off from all the rust?

if it's a 2500 series or 3500 it will have 4 bolts if not 3. then beat the hub off it may take something like a large air hammer that is 3/4" drive to remove it. This video shows the job being done on a similar car but the process is the same.
