When turning right sharply there is a whining and grinding noise

This could be a wheel bearing. Does your vehicle exhibit any kind of wobble as you drive it, especially starting at a certain speed?

No just the grinding , whining noise.

So both sides should be fixed?

I am not sure what you are referring to, but it is a good general rule to replace things on a vehicle in sets like a set of spark plugs, or both wheel bearings, or both mufflers, a set of tires, so I am going to recommend that you replace both sides. Please get back to us with how everything turns out.
