PCV location

Hello, I'm Danny.

It's kind of buried on the left side of the engine.The PCV is mounted into the intake manifold under the #2 spark plug. I've attached a few pictures below to show you its description and location.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

First of all,Thank you ,Danny L.Very helpful.I have another question. I hooked the obd1 scanner to my truck.The codes I got are troublesome.C-214-Cyl.ID CIRCUIT FAILURE,C218-LOSS OF IGN.DIAG.MONITOR SIGNAL/LEFT SIDE,C-222-LOSS OF IGN.DIAG.MONITOR/RIGHT SIDE,C-223-LOSS OF DUAL PLUG INHIBIT CONTROL.If I'm not mistaken(I'm hoping I am),all these codes are I.C.M. related,are they not?Meaning I have to replace it?

Hey Danny, thanks for your help.You need to be a rocket scientist to perform those tests. Yep,it was the ICM. get this I just replaced it along with other stuff,let the engine run for about 10 minutes. shut it off,hooked the obd 1 and guess what? it's giving me the 218 code,again (loss of I.D.M.signal/left side.What is causing this?Could it be the ign packs themselves,maybe the connectors?

Yes, I would check all the wire connections for being loose,corroded,burnt,melted etc.
Also, Have you went down the list on the diagnostic instructions I've attached prior?

Hi Danny, I refueled this morning put in mid grade Chevron.After the engine reached normal temperature check engine light came on.hooked obd and gave me a 172 code HEGO(H02S)sensor fault/lean.Was this the result of mid grade gas?Do I have to replace the oxygen sensor?Man,if it's not one thing, it's another..Thanks for your help,Danny.

Hello again.

The test procedure for this is showing oil dilution.It could be faulty/contaminated fuel,plugged, PCV valve,faulty HO2 sensor, etc. I've attached picture test steps below.I would check these things before just changing the HO2 sensor. Yes, when it rains it pours sometimes- I get the same luck. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
