What would cause the vehicle only to go in reverse if you put it in any gear it is reverse?

Transmission will only go in reverse it starts if only goes in reverse you put it in drive it goes in reverse you put it in low it goes in reverse image of the van?

It sounds like the shift cable has come of the selector arm. Here is what I am talking about, also do the shift lights change when toy move the selector? This is on top of the transmission. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
