Door ajar light to stay on even after all of the doors have been secured

Replaced door ajar switch and the passenger door. when opened does not automatically turn on dome light or cargo exterior light only when passenger door is closed and i open driver side does the dome light come on and cargo light lights are on?

Good morning,

The door switch could be the issue not closing when the door is closed.

Do you have a scan tool that can access the body control module or the GEM module which is the same? you will be able to monitor the actions of all the door switches.

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view.

I used to but it was stolen from storage unit, so I will get a replacement. what do you suggest?

Monitor the module for all the doors to see which one is not closing the circuit. It sounds like a door switch is bad. The switch is part of the door latch itself.
