What symptoms would you get if a front strut is not seated properly?

Rookie mistake, I know. I just noticed it today. I get shaking when I put the car underload while turning to one side not the other and I just changed a cv axle and noticed when I replaced the wheel bearing, I didn't align the notch in the back of the strut, and it's bent sideways. so, this whole time the strut was not seated all the way in. Would this cause that problem or another one that may be going on while driving?

Hi,

I'm trying to picture what has happened. What is actually bent on the strut? Could you upload a pic of what has happened?

If the strut isn't seated properly, absolutely it can be causing the issues you described. However, if possible, I would like to see exactly what you are referring to.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
