I looked on Alldata for location and I saw splice location. My question is, what is a splice? Is it two wires soldered together a connector or what?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Yes, it is where wires are joined together. Often times, they are crimped together and not soldered.

If you have other questions, let me know.

Take care,
Joe

Hi again. I'm not sure what problem you are dealing with. However, based on what you have said, it sounds like a start issue. Is that correct? As far as the s118, please reconfirm that number. I just looked through every schematic and can't locate it. I found s117 and s119. My next question is this. Power to the PCM is supplied through the TIPM (total integrated power module). These are very common to have issues because of the small pin size and corrosion. Looking at schematics, I'm seeing pins 4 and 5 providing power to the system via the ignition. Have you checked them?

Let me know exactly what is going on. Also, what engine is in the vehicle. The 2.4L wasn't offered in this vehicle.

Take care,
Joe.

The problem is sometimes not always when I turn the key to run position engine off I see what's in the video after I crank it and the car start normally however the car goes in limp mode with p0882 code.so what I did I disconnected the c1 connector , turned the key on run position engine off and I saw what's in the video so I said the problem is tin that connector.to pinpoint where exactly I Depin two power wires from c1 connectors one comes from ignition switch the other from tipm and connect back the c1 connector turn key on engine off and I saw what's in the video so my conclusion is the problem is in those two powers one of them has a splice the other not. So I want to check the s118 splice for problems

Take a look at this schematic and tell me if you are referring to pins 10 and 29. If you are, the only splice I can find is s151.

This is really interesting. Your wiring schematic looks different than mine. What size engine does it have? To answer your question, 99% of the time it is the actual pins on the tipm. They bend or corrode and break.

I looked on my schematic. Both B+ terminals are to power the fuel pump (at least that is what my schematic is showing me). I don't see how that would put it into limp mode.

That makes a difference. The splice is located on the left front side of the engine compartment. See attached picture.

Let me know if this helps.

The dashed line indicates it is a switched power. Have you checked the splice?

Not yet also the car is not acting up because the outside temperature is cold. It is something related to heat.

Okay... Let me know what you find with the splice. Hopefully, it won't give you any trouble regardless of temp.

Take care,

I did not find the splice?
When I depin pin#11 from connector C1 of the PCM and connect all PCM connectors back the car does exactly the same as shown on the video. Also 5 volts reference is present, when I depin pin#12 the car does not act up. When I depin pin# 29 aka remove the fuse the car acts up the difference is there is no 5 volts reference. FYI when the car acting up as in the video there is 5 volts reference so I am sure the problem is in pin#11. The other thing is when the car acts up and back probe pin#11 there is battery voltage
Pin #11, 12, 29 are all in C1 connector of PCM.

Welcome back.
Are you referring to the TIPM C1 connector or the PCM? The C1 connector on the TIPM pin 11 is not used. Pin 11 on the PCM is for injector 4. See the attached pictures.
