Brake switch current flow

Good morning.

Attached is the connector diagram.

the max allowed current flow is six amps under full load.

Thank you for the image. I cannot find my owner's manual and did not know what color wire went with what. I will let you know if I get them working.

Pin #3 should be hot all the time with twelve volts from the fuse #15 in the central junction box, located behind lower left side of dash.
Pin #2 goes to the brake system module and pin #1 is of course ground.
Then the pins for the brake lights are #5 hot with twelve volts all the time from that fuse #13 in the CJB and to the brake lights, etc is pin #4.

I got the brake lights working on the tail, but I lost the cab lights and the power windows. I asked a question about that last night in a new question.

those are unrelated to the brake light switch.

have you checked all the fuses for power on both sides with the key on?

check for power to the master switch for the windows. see if there is a twelve volt feed that will power the switch.

There is no twelve volts at the window switch. I have no power at number seven fuse on either side key is on.

I have no cargo lights on the out side of the cab No lights when I open the doors. Cab inside lights work with the switches at the individual lights Electric windows do not work at all checked relay four and fuse seven both were okay.

Both of these circuits used to be operated through uncommonly reliable switches, but today, the new breed of engineers do not know how to do that without adding a computer to the systems. These are both run through the "generic electronic module", (GEM). That module is prone to failure due to water leaking onto it through a leak in the windshield. Start by inspecting the connector terminals for signs of corrosion.

Window switch

The power windows have 2 fuses and a circuit breaker, the fuses are #22 in the battery junction box and #4 in the central junction box, then a circuit breaker #25 in the battery junction box.
There are also 2 relays in the central junction box, a one touch down and an acc delay relay.

I do see that #7 fuse is for the window switch light bulbs but that fuse does not power the window motors.

Is their an easy to test the relays in the central junction box

the easiest way is to swap them with a relay that you know is working and of the same type/size.

what are you going to use to test continuity? If a multimeter, then why didn't you use it to check those fuses for voltage?
Anyhow, the wire is the light blue/black. Didn't you look at that wiring diagram?
I know the diagram is little confusing, but it all depends on where the buttons are at for which wire you want to test.

I have no power at relay. How do I get to the connections at center junction bar

I would assume you remove it from the dash. I would disconnect the batteries first, remove the junction box, then hook the batteries backup if you want to test for voltage or just leave them disconnected if you want to use an ohmmeter.

What is procedure for removing junction box I do not want to damage any wires

I looked before, but I could not exactly find one.
Do you see any small bolts or screws holding it to the instrument panel?
