Hello, I found under dash three connectors connected to empty plug. What are all three connectors for? Could I add switch and some unavailable function will be working?
I am waiting for your reply.
Have a nice day,
Pawel

Those are all used with options that exist on the 4WD version but are not available on the 2WD version you have. If you pull the other panels, you will find more empty connectors for the same reason. Most companies use the same main harness regardless of the options or equipment as it's cheaper to have a single harness with all the connectors rather than have a different version for each option package. However, they make it more fun by making the options an item that has to be programmed in. So, say you wanted to add factory fog lights, you buy the OEM lights, the OEM switch and relay and plug it all in, and it doesn't work because they are not an active option. You go to the dealer and ask if they can turn them on, they say "Sure we will install all the parts and turn it on, that will be $400.00 please" It can make it interesting if you are trying to trace say a power or lighting lead and you spend 20 minutes tracing it to an empty connector!
In this case they are for the stability control override the heated steering wheel and the low range locking feature for the transfer case you don't have. Plus, because you don't have those items you also don't have the modules they control. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Oh, and because those items also use the data buss, make sure that if they used a dummy plug or socket to plug them in you put them back in it, having a data line floating around where it could ever short out isn't a good thing.

Daer Steve,

Thank you for your reply.
I am going to add an additional switch for rear red light, which is very important in Poland. It will be as factory switch, but I will use it as apart switch, only relay, +12V and GND signal. I will use the first empty slot for it.
I will not use other connectors.
:-)
Thank you for your help.
Have a nice day,
Pawel

Must be they require the rear fog lighting there. Not something a US spec vehicle would have.
