what a double click sound i heard when i stepped on brakes

while driving approx 40-50mph when i stepped on the brakes i heard a double click sound. it seemed to be coming from the passenger side of the car

have a local pro check the brakes as well as axle shaft and wheel bearings on BOTH sides It may be a minor thing but clicking noises can lead to other more serious things.
