Water in the oil

These engines are notorious for water pump failures, and the reason for coolant getting into the oil pan is because the water pump is driven by the timing chain and thus is in the timing cover. not an easy quick job like an older vehicle unfortunately!

I have to be honest, chances are it is a head gasket. Once you look through the link, let me know if you feel the same. I can help get you through repairs if we determine that is the problem.

Just another thought. It is a good idea to try a compression test to see if there is a cylinder that has low compression. That is usually another good indicator that a head gasket has failed.

I also noticed moisture on intake.
Hopefully you can see it.

On the front of the intake, I see something that appears white. Is that oil or a reflection? I ask because that is what oil and coolant mixed will often look like.

Have you had a chance to inspect the water pump and review the link I added last time?

No I have not and that is a reflection.

Okay, that's good news. I thought something was spraying contaminated oil on it. When you get a chance, let me know what you find.
