Coolant light on

Coolant light in dash board does not disappear and the water is full.

Water coolant light still shows but the gauge is okay and it has been blow still the temperature is normal.

This vehicle is equipped with a coolant level sensor which is located in the reservoir. I have attached a picture of one for you to see. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture for your model, but it should be very similar. The picture is of a 2006 323i. Most likely, either the switch is bad or it has a bad connection. Check that first. In the picture, number one points at the sensor.

Check to make sure the wiring to the sensor is in good condition. Also, make sure the plug is not damaged or corroded. The light in the picture is based on that sensor.

So the plug should impact positive light or negative with a tester? Plug is not showing positive light.

Sensor replaced. Water bottle was faulty and has been replaced together with its own sensor. now it is okay. Thanks again.
