Transmission will not shift out of park?

Hi,

Don't laugh, but do the brake lights work? I ask because the park lock solenoid is actuated by the brake light switch. Check that and let me know.

Also, I attached directions below that explain how to release the shift lock so you can shift. It is a bit of an inconvenience, but it will get you moving.
