Hybrid battery is not charging

So we came home in the down pouring rain and the VSC, hybrid system and check engine lights all came on. Soon after the battery in the back started making a blowing noise, now the car is stalling and the battery shows it isn't charging.. Help!

Hello,

This is common when one or more cells have shorted out inside the hybrid battery pack. here is a guide that shows whats inside and instructions on how to replace the the battery in the diagrams with the exploded view as well so you can see how it works:

Make sure you wear insulated gloves when working with the hybrid battery. The Hybrid battery is heavy and you might need a hoist to lift it out. Also this is a high voltage system and you must follow the directions or personal injury can occur.
