Engine Performance problem
2006 Volvo XC90 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I had to swerve into another lane to avoid a collision, I had my cruise control on, speed 70MPH, I hit the brakes and swerved. The car started to coast, no matter how hard I applied the pedal it slowly drifted to a stop. After about 5 minutes it was fine and I continued my trip. What caused it to not have accleration?

I do not think so anything was posted on the message board.. It was suggested that the computer had a glitch? Possible???? The car is working fine as I was able to travel another 70 miles to home. Shal I take it into a Volvo repair to have it checked out???

TAKING IT TO A REPAIR FACILITY WOULD BE THE NEXT STEP. THIS WAY THEY CAN PLUG INTO THE VEHICLE SYSTEMS AND CHECK FOR FAULT CODES.

The network system on this vehice is very complex and could have being something as simple as the traction control system doing it's job and slowing you down to make sure everything was O.K. or like you mentioned, it could have being a glitch somewhere in the software. I would recommend you take it in to the closest Volvo dealership to have the system checked for any relevant fault codes just to be on the safe side.
