2005 Volvo XC90 SRS warning light

Recently I had to remove the second row middle seat to remove debris that was causing the seat not to raise. Upon reinstalling the seat (including plugging in the underseat wiring connection) the SRS warning light came on when I started the vehicle. I have attempted to clear the codes using a standard over the counter code reader as well as disconnecting the battery. The SRS warning code still appears. I have double checked the plug under the seat and it is firmly connected.
My closest Volvo service is 3 hours away. Can I do anything else to clear this code myself?

The light was set because you unplugged the center seat belt connector. The SRS module is like a hard drive which constantly records information which later is retrieved if you were in an accident. The only way you can reset the light is by taking it to the dealership to reset it. You could also check with your local garage to see if they have a scanner like the Modis or Genesis with the Eurpoean software on it to read and reset the SRS code?

SRS CODES ARE SET WHEN THERE IS AN INTERRUPTION IN THE SRS SIGNALS. I HAVENT SEEN AN INDEPENDENT FACILITY THAT HAS A SYSTEM CAPABLE OF BEING ABLE TO RESET AN SRS FAULT.

I work for an independent shop from time to time and I can tell you the GENESIS and the MODIS will reset the light if you have the European software. I have reset BMW and Mercedes SRS lights so Volvo will not be a problem.
