In replacing a factory radio gone bad, the mechanic tripped the "passenger air bag" warning light. Is there any way he can turn this off, so I don't have to pay hundreds to the dealer?

You need to have a scanner that can read the SRS module to try and reset it. Try this and let me know if t works? Do a battery reset. Remove the negative battery cable and then the positive cable. Remove the battery. Touch both terminals of thecables to each other and have them touching together for an hour. If that doesnot work then the only other thing you can try to see if it works is to remove the center console out. Underneath is the SRS module. With the ignition key removed, unplug the control unit and leave it unplug for several minutes. Plug it back in and put the center console back together. Start it up. If the light is still on have the shop pay for the reset. Also if you replaced the radio with the same radio from Volvo you need to do a software reload on the control unit.
