When engaged, the front driver's side directional light will, on occasion, not always, start to click faster and only one of it's two filaments will flash. I have tried to replace it with two new bulbs but the problem keeps on recurring. The problem message states "Left signal light failure" or some thing to that effect.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

st be checking the voltage at the globe socket and ensuring that the earth is sound, check for any corrosion on the filaments in the socket, this just may be a poor connection causing a power or earth problem, start here.

When you use the turn signal and it does not flash then your problem will most likely be the turn signal. Very common for them to fail. Usually when you play with the switch you will notice it will flash rapidly for a quick second and then stops flashing. Now if it is always flashing really fast and notice the front bulb is not as bright as the other side then just replacing the bulb WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. You will need to replace the bulb with the socket and would strongly suggest you pick the parts up at the dealership.
