Why is my volvo making rubbing noise when I make sharp turns? Does this have anything to do with my Volvo Control Arm Bushings? Thank you

I know for a fact that my control arm bushings need to be replaced, but they make noise every time I go over the smallest bump. Not while turning.
I was having a similar problem when I turned the wheel all the way, left or right. I believe the mechanic said I needed to replace my bump stops.
I'm not saying that your control arm bushings aren't worn out, just sharing what has happened to me with my 2004 Volvo S80.
Good Luck
