2004 Volvo S80 Hard to start....

Is this the inline 6 turbo engine? Let me know?

Your intermittant hard start can be from a sticking throttle plate. You will need to remove the electronic throttle module to clean it. I strongly suggest you buy the cleaner from Volvo. The reason for this is if you use carb cleaner you can destroy the module and it is very expensive to replace. Also have the pcv system checked. You need a manometer gage to check this through the oil dipsticktube. Min spec is -0.2kpa any thing higher then the pcv system is plugged up. Usually the skinny plastic vacuum hose on the banjo attached under the intake manifold is what gets plugged up. If it is plugged then you need to remove the intake manifold but you need to remove the banjo bolt under it first or you will break the pcv hose and that can cost a couple hundred dollars to replace. When you remove the banjo clean that out also since that acts like the pcv valve. Attaching a couple of pics for you. The last pic the arrow on the right is the pcv bango you need to remove.

Hi.I oso think abt d thottlebody.But i found something wrong wif the cold start sensor and intake air temp sensor.I saw the pic a bit difference wif mine...but i will try to clean the thottlebody and d banjo valve.Any result i'll let u know.Thanks so much for ur help....keep in touch.......

Hi,me again...i replace d cold start sensor at this morning already...after that start the engine feel like normal...But i'll let the engine cold down 1st or over night.then conform again...Ohh 4get to tell u i come from singapore and i think engine sure b difference wif ur...English not so good.so....hope u dun mind....
