is it there special tool for the oil filter removable? i have two different rench to remove filter but is not working with my volvo

Hi there,
The filter is a disposable cartridge type, the outer plastic case may have been over tightened and if no oil is smeared on the seal, they can lock up and be extrodinarly hard to budge. There is a filter tool the locks on at the base of the housing and you can fit a breaker bar for extra leverage, just go easy as you do not want to distort the housing, smear a little oil on the seal so it wont lock up next time.
