1999 Volvo S70 RACKINPINON REMOval

Separate the steering gear from the steering column by lifting the floor carpet below the steering column and remove the pinion shaft bolt.

Remove or disconnect the following:

Right front wheel
Lower ball joints
Center cross member
Front exhaust pipe
Rear engine mount
Heat deflector plate
Steering gear left mounting bracket
Power steering hoses
Steering gear right mounting bracket

Slide the steering gear housing to the right and lower the assembly to remove.
