i have an 05 volvo S40 T5 AWD, 33000 miles. it's a great car, never had a problem. tonight something started squeaking so i immediately thought it was the belt. sprayed that with silicon spray, still squeaking. apparently i'm deaf and it's coming from the middle of the engine. it's a high pitched constant squeak when the engine is idle even if it is in gear. the squeaking stops whenever i put my foot on the accelerator, but still squeaks when i brake. i would really not like to have to take this in to the dealership, so if someone could help that would be wonderful!
