Volvo V40, 2001, Manual Gearbox, 111,111 and 1.8i
My V40 car has been making a whinning noise in 3rd gear of late. This has now spread to the 2nd gear.
Whilst driving on the Motorway (Freeway) the gears occassionally slip by itstelf from the 5th gear to neutral.
This has now started occuring with the 3rd gear now.
The car was only serviced 9 weeks ago.
I am not a high mileage driver but the prevoious owner had done 100,000 miles on it. But he was a Motorway long distance driver.
Also, the electric window and wing mirror adjuster has stopped working again. Every now and then it starts to operate.
Please advise.
