my mechanic says i will need rear brakes at 30,000 miles. I have no sign of needed them. I dont hear squeeking or see any problem. Is he correct?

30K is too soon for rears unless there is a fault in caliper. I would get a second opinion

Rear brakes are usually the first to go on this vehicle.
Just have them checked and if you need them you nedd them?
