2001 Volvo S40 check engine light

I have replaced many sensors and parts to get the check engine light off. The Dealer is unable to resolve the issue and in fact, I believe may have created other issues with the car. I put a new gas cap on the car, the light went off for a week but is now back on. HELP if you can...
