2000 Volvo S40 Coolant pressure relief

Is there a retrofit coolant system pressure relief? It looks like my head gasket went first, then combustion pressure severly pressurized my system and blew out the radiator side sealing seams.
Maybe a cap, or ??
What about recommended pressure level?
