I installed A new Alternator noticed the belt was worn no one in town had the belt in stock but Pet Boys. The New belt was alot tighter than the old one
after in stall the belt smoked heavily I shut down the car. I think the new belt is to tight because there was no squeal just smoke. The car is a 2.4 liter 5 cyl with automatic and A/C. Anyhelp would be apreaceated. Ps the car has 69000 miles on it
