1993 Volvo 940 940 fuel injection codes

It may be asensor problem, but look for vacuum leaks first. Spray around the intake area with carb cleaner, if the idle changes, you have hit a vacuum leak.Also check the boot from the air cleaner box (MAF sensor) to the engine for any cracks, that will also cause those codes.If all is ok, check fuel pressure with a gauge Should be right at 42psi. If that is ok, I would probably start with an o2 sensor , based on mileage.Also might want to try a MAF (mass airflow meter) cleaner

I just bought this car (the one from above93 940 turbo)from my brother in law. It was sputering and dieing a lot, but only at low speeds in stop and go driving. There was no check engine light on.

I took it out on the highway for a five hour trip home. I stopped to gas an hour into the trip. I noticed right away when I got the speed down. It was not sputering or dieing. I filled up with gas, started it up. The check engine light came on. But again the dieing stopped completly and has not started. It's idling and driving great. Except for that check engine light. This is when I looked up the codes. Are theses things related? Someone told me it may have been a carbon deposit. Could that be messing up my Oxygen sensors?

Hard to say, sometimes they can get build up, going and a long run down the highway gets them cleaned out a bit.Plus at cruise speed they try to maintain a certain mixture for a while and that is when the computer sees variances in what the mixture is when it is adjusting when the throttle doesnt change
