Interior problem
1989 Volvo 740 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200k miles

seat belt retractor detached for seat removal (was working fine) now retracts but won't release. Any thoughts?

Hi quike,

Seat belts are equipped with inertia locks and if the vehicle is parked sloping, it sometimes gets stuck. Park vehicle on level a ground and tug and release softly ( jerk ) on the seat belt to try to release the inertia lock.
