need diagram to fix gas gauge on gas tank

first you have to find out weather the gauge/wiring harness is bad or if its the sending unit.
to do so take the signal wire and ground it on the frame, tank should show empty, then put it on +12 voltage, tank should show full, if not either the harness is damaged, OR the guage is faulty.
if it functions properly, the sending unit will need replacement.
