Electrical problem
1988 Volvo 240 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 215000 miles

Just got a 1988 volvo 240. After driving it for two happy weeks, the door chime started to ring when doing the following (not including opening the door):
-Turn on headlights (no lights, just chime)
-Try to raise/lower power window (no window, just chime)
-APPLY BREAK (breaks work, but not break light. oh yeah, and the chime)
A mechanic kept it all day and it didn't act up for him (it's intermittent, and getting more frequent). He said he tried everything from A to Z and found nothing wrong.
Please help!
