Electrical problem
1987 Volvo 240 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
Last week my turn signals stopped working. The hazard lights still function so I believe that the relay is still ok. There is power to the fuse and the signal stalk but the signals themselves do not work.

t/signals adn hazards share teh same flasher, so you may be looking at a bad turn signal switch.Do they light up at all? if not and there is power in and the hazards work it could be the switch

Is there an easy way to check the switch before I invest the cash?

hmmmm, a strange thing happened today. The seat belt light and a buzzer turned on when I put the switch in both positions. Then the signals began to work. Does this indicate there is a short or a ground issue? If so, where is the ground for this circuit.
