Hello - I want to re-charge my AC, and it keeps refering to low port - I think it's located on the actually compressor; what is the valve found on the top side to the left of the engine with the clear glass window, what is the purpose of this valve? Anyone have any suggestions for completing this project? I purchaced a retro/recharge kit and it seems easy enough, but we all know, nothings ever that easy :) Any suggestions for those who have done this on theor own are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance -

The sight glass is the high side and you dont want to mess with it unless you have the proper training and equipment (200+ psi). Does your kit have any kind of gauge?. You can only hook it to the low side (different size fittings) start and warm up car, turn on air.Follow instructions for your specific kit adninstall 134 until compressor comes on.Cooling fan should turn on as well.Install 134 until it blows cold and the compressor stays on when the engine is held around 2500 rpms (like your are cruising)
