Hello,

So, when you turn the volume up, does it actually go up and after a while it goes down? Or as you try to turn the volume up it goes down with the turn of the knob?

There was a radio issue on Hyundai and Kia vehicles a few years ago that required replacement of the unit. I know some of them got covered from the factory under warranty.

This could be due to a faulty control module inside the radio. Try calling your local dealer and ask them to see if there is a service bulletin active on your specific model.

Let me know what you find out or if you have any questions.
Thank you.

There are a couple things that come to mind, but the determining factor will be how far it turns down.

When you turn the volume up, does it turn down all the way to 0 or no sound?

If this is the case, I think the volume knob is the issue. A lot of times it gets dirt and grim in it and makes the radio turn down.

The only solution that I am aware of is to replace the radio.

However, if when you turn it down, and it jumps down a couple notches then that could be a software issue in the radio.

Can you get a video of what this is doing?

It appears you are able to remove the knobs so depending on what this is doing, we can remove the knob and try and clean it.

Let's start with the video and go from there. Thanks
