Voltage issue and fuel gauge not working

My alternator went out so I replaced it and now my fuel gauge isn't working. My vehicle will not hardly climb a hill do to power loss and it will not take full pedal of fuel with out popping and falling on its face. it will barely run 55 miles an hour I have to let it build up speed and it takes forever to get there and then if I hit a hill it losses all power.

Based on your description, it sounds like the fuel pump is weak and not an electrical issue. Do me a favor. Check it for diagnostic trouble codes. That way we will know if it is an electrical issue or not.

Also, since you had things apart prior to the problem, recheck you work. Make sure nothing was left disconnected such as vacuum hoses, sensors.
