1990 Volkswagen Van 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

turned switch, engine started. turned off then turned on again, engine started. next time turned switch nothing still get buzzing sound with key ,all lights work etc poss. bad switch? how would I check this?

It sounds like the ignition switch is working properly, check your wires down at the starter, because the starter is exposed to the elements of the road. Lots of times the cables are corroded.
