I have a 1989 Vanagon Carat edition, this is my first, and here is the problem:

-Lost my Alternator/Water Pump Belt, as a result the Engine overheated on the highway and sprayed antifreeze everywhere.

-Replaced all of the belts and filled the engine back up with coolant. Noticed a fairly rapid coolant leak under the engine above the oil pan.

-Engine Runs, but leaks very quickly. Is this my head Gasket? or does it sound like something else?

Hi there,

This will have to be viewed first hand to make sure what it is, a mechanic can do a cooling system pressure test and locate this leak and identify the cause very quickly.
