Just drove across florida. No leaking before I left . When I got back my van is leaking transmission fluid from under the right side drive flange locking plate. Is there some kind of seal in there that can be replaced?

I've worked on a lot of Volkswagen I've never seen one leak form the "flange locking plate" they have appeared to leak from their but it was a rip axle boot, or a loose axle, clean and reject make sure that is the problem and let me know.
