Engine Performance problem

I've taken my 1.9 tdi in for service 165000 and had the thermostat and waterpump replaced. When the car came back it had a noise in the area of the catalitic converter and had no power. I replaced the converter but realised the noise came from the airfilter box which was not properly closed.
I've closed the airfilter box but now the car won't start. If it starts it idles for a few seconds then dies. I can't ref it when it idles
