The car wont start by its self, it needs to be jumped in order to start. When it is running, i noticed if i turn the lights on, or the cd player, then engine will stall. So i took the volt meter and tested the battery while running and when the car was off, and turns out there are more volts when the car is NOT running. Is this an alternator problem? or could it be something else?

Hi there,

Have the battery fully charged and load tested, this will give a true indication as to the battery condition. Also check the alternator charge rate you will be looking for 13.5 to 14.5 Volts there abouts.

I had the battery connected over night, and i tested it in the morning and the car ad completely drained the battery. It had just over 2 volts in the morning. So im guessing it was my amp that had drained it. thats my best guess, im not sure what else would have drained it that fast.

Hi there,

An amp will suck a battery inside out if not isolated hen car turned off, check your wiring and isolate the amp.
