2007 Volkswagen Polo Manual 16000 miles

I took my VW polo in for a check up the other day because i heard a noise coming from my left hand side of the car. they said i need a new wheel bearing but is it still going be sfae to drive until i can get it fixed?

Ok this hard to answer as a bad bearing can go for miles and yet it can fail at a moments notice when they start to make noise. So why don't you fix it yourself? It will cost less and then you won't have to worry if it is going to cause any more damage.
