Sorry for the new message, I couldn't figure out how to add on to my previous question that was submitted/answered on Mar. 18th. My Passat has been sitting in the driveway since Wed. My husband flushed the oil, replaced it with synthetic, and changed the oil filter. He was finally able to get to the screen and check for oil sludge...........which he found and cleaned out.
Now we're confused about what to do next
1) replace the oil pump and put the car back together and pray that it's fixed long enough to trade in or
2)do another flush and then put the car back together
Is there a way to test the oil pump/pressure now or does he have to put it back together first?
We're looking for the quickest/economical fix
Or should we just push it off a cliff? j/k lol
Thank you for your time !
