I was looking for info about replacing reverse light switch.I was told by some people vw electrical can be kind of funky.Where on the car is the switch located? Thank you in advance

the automatic equipped Passat uses the multifunction transmission range switch to control the reverse lamps. it is located on the left side of the transmission.
