Bought a '03 Passat wagon from a auction 8 weeks ago. My ABS and light below it that is shaped like a triangle with ! inside have been on for 6 weeks. I had the CV axel replaced and the mechanic that did this somehow messed with the wheel sensor, which is why the light is on. I took to another mechanic who confirmed the wheel sensor is the reason those lights are on. [img:ab17c76536]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/452147_dash_2.jpg[/img:ab17c76536]
On Sunday, the engine light came on. I took it to the dealer on today to have the oil changed and the engine light is still on. They did not run their test to see what the code was. Makes no sense to me why... Also, on the actual dash, above where the temperature setting is located, there is a timer that is counting minutes and a number 1. What is this? Dealer also didn't tell me this info. I'm attaching a photo.
