I live in New Orleans where the streets will rip apart a car suspension in no time.
Are there any heavy duty springs i could use to combat the pothole ridden city?

Ok there are many kinds of brands of springs that you can get. Most however are for lowering the car which look cool and are stronger then stock but do not fix the pothole problems. If you love this car you could look into air suspension but it is costly.
