Check engine light came on after putting too much oil in the crankcase. It was driven for a week or so before this was corrected. Now the engine light comes on intermittantly and I suspect too much oil may have damaged the catalytic converter. The car runs fine and my ODBII code reader does not pick up any codes. If it is the cat converter, is there a way to clean or correct it with out replacing them?
