This is a 2003 VW Jetta, 1.9 TDI, 50K miles, 5 speed stick.
The engine fan runs continually, a fuse was blown, and A-C did not work, replaced fuse, and fan runs, A-C works, but of course, the battery would shortly go flat, so fuse was removed, so car can be used. Have checked the fan thermal switch, it is OK. Must be a relay or some controller which turns the fan on when the AC is switched on. CAn not find a wiring diagram for the car, or location of parts. By runs continously, I mean when the car is dead cold, fuse inserted , fan starts. Also, can you advise me as to where to obtain a wiring diagram for this car?
Thank you very much for your attention.
Cheers.
