Hi,

Unfortunately no accurate details of engine year and mileage. Blew rings on engine. Had it fixed but then realized that the fuel is running into the sump. Fitted a new oil pump and problem remains. Are there any other way that the fuel can get into the oil?

Please advise!

Yes! Look at the fuel pump, older carshave mecanical pumps, operated off a lobe on the crank, if yours is this type, replace it!

Sorry,
I don't know were my mind was, I actually did replace the FUEL pump, not the oil pump as stated. Did a test this morning. Opened the left tapped cover and poured fuel directly into the carburettor. Turned the engine manually to 2nd cylinder saw the fuel trickle out from the valves!
