Shortcircuit in my Volkwagen Rabbit diesel

Hi.My problem started 3 days ago.When i turn on the key to warm up the glow plugs,the main fuse get hot and burn.My question is if ¿it is possible that the glow plugs are in short circuit or it is another problem?

I appreciate any help.

It could be resistance due to corrosion in the connections. A little bit here, a little bit there, it adds up. That fuse strip is to protect the wiring in your car from burning up. You can bypass that fuse and hook the 2 red/white wires under the same screw if you don't have that strip. I have never thought about it since I did mine 2 years ago.
